Liz McCausland earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in 1994 and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1997. Prior to starting Liz McCausland PA Ms. McCausland practiced general civil litigation. She now concentrates her practice in bankruptcies and mediations. She is a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and has conducted over 1000 Mortgage Modification Mediations since the inception of the Orlando Divisions’ Mortgage Modification Mediation Program.
Ms. McCausland is a member of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, the Orange County Bar Association (Board Member), The Legal Aid Society (Board Member), Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (Past Treasurer), and the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association.
Most recently Ms. McCausland was awarded the Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Award Certificate and the Orange County Bar Associations’ 2007 Young Lawyers Lawrence G. Mathews Professionalism Award. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Devereux Foundation and the Florida Bar’s Committee to Study the Decline in Jury Trials.
